Getting Ready to Close Pledge Manager!

Hello Backers! Hope you are safe and sound out there in the world. I hope this update finds you and your loved ones well.

This is a brief but important update! We're about ready to start manufacturing at Panda and would like to close the pledge manager. This means you need to complete your survey information and finalize your pledge if you have not yet done so!

I will be closing the Pledge Manager on Tuesday August 31!

That's just 2 weeks from today! When that happens, your credit card assigned to the shipping costs at BackerKit will be processed by Stripe.

I will be posting another update soon regarding the rules translations - so if you have any last minute votes for that, please post a comment on the last update! The tally is pretty clear, but additional votes could change which one goes first!

Next Stop: Manufacturing Review!

Hello Kind Backers! How are you this day? I hope you are all fairing well.

Transmissions continues to move along nicely. At this point, all of the print material has been reviewed at Panda and is now advancing to manufacturing review. We still need to finish the custom insert and  the 3D files for the miniatures will undergo a manufacturing review too - but we've already had one round of that, so I do hope all is well now.

Other than that, I can now advance to creating the different languages for the rulebook! And here's where I could use your help. Here is a listing of the languages available:

GREEK, POLISH, CHINESE, DUTCH, DANISH, ITALIAN, HUNGARIAN, FINNISH, GERMAN, FRENCH, CZECH, SPANISH, SWEDISH, and PORTUGUESE. 

In the comments below, pick your TOP 3 languages to translate into first! I will be doing them all, but each will take some time and I would like to provide the ones of greatest interest to the backers first!

So which would you like? Which would you think would be the most helpful? Post below and let me know!

Next Up: Digital Proofs!

Hello Backers! Hope you are all doing well!

I'm happy to report that all of the digital proofs are finished and uploaded to Panda! The only parts left for manufacturing are a final approval of the 3D models for the miniatures, the final version of the standees, and the custom insert. Those will be coming along soon, but we can now work with Panda to review the print material. Of course, there will be adjustments and fixes - that's why we go through a review process. But like you, I'm anxious to get moving as fast as we can and today is a great step forward.

I have had a few questions about Backerkit and the shipping costs. To clarify, you won't be billed for things there until we flip the switch to begin manufacturing - and that's a month away at least. Again, I'll post an update before that happens because that is also the time that your order will be locked.

As we continue to proceed and reach milestones, I'll be sure to post updates, but if you have questions, please don't hesitate to ask.

More Status Update!

Hello Backers! I hope you are doing well. As an update, the Backerkit Pledge Manager has been open for awhile now and many of you (82%) have completed your survey! Thank you for that! It truly helps in estimating our work ahead - how many units to manufacture and getting good estimates for shipping logistics. Kickstarter has released funding to us, so we can now 'officially' move on finalizing everything.

Several have asked how long you have to complete your order (especially Retailers are wondering). Just to confirm, I will not close the Pledge Manager without letting you know! I would guess it will be open for about 2 more months - maybe a bit less. I will close it when we pull the trigger for manufacturing - we need to lock the number we'll produce in this first print run.

What's up next is continuing to work on finishing the digital assets for the game. The back of the game box is done now and we're finalizing the rulebook at this point. There are just a few more digital assets to complete and those will be done in the month of June. We also need a tweak to the miniatures which Chad will be doing in June as well.  But all in all, things are moving along well.

Speaking of the rulebook, we have 12 languages completed (plus English). Once I have a final version of the English rulebook (it's going under some graphic design tweaks), I'll convert the languages over and we'll produce PDFs of all of them. I'm going to post those on Board Game Geek and host them myself on a soon-to-be-revised CrossCut Games website (more on that later). I do want to thank all the volunteers for their work (more on that later as well)!

Survey the Pledge Manager!

Hello Backers!

We're now starting the long road to finishing the project! The next immediate step is to get moving on the Pledge Manager with Backerkit!

Soon (over the next few days), you’ll receive an email from us with a special link to your BackerKit Survey. It’s important to respond to your survey as quickly as you can since we need this information to fulfill your rewards and get accurate counts for manufacturing and shipping.

You don’t need to create a BackerKit account to fill out your survey. When you receive the email with the survey, click the survey link to respond. Answer the questions about your reward preferences, provide shipping information, and purchase add-on items if you like.

After you respond to your survey, you can go back later and change your responses at any time before we close the surveys and get our final counts.

If you need to review your information or pledge status, you can return to your survey by clicking the link in your survey email or requesting your survey link under "Lost your survey?" on our BackerKit project page at https://transmissions.backerkit.com.

If you used your Facebook credentials to log in to your Kickstarter account, the BackerKit survey is sent to the email address you use for your Facebook account. If you have another email address that you prefer to use, please contact support at https://transmissions.backerkit.com/faq.

What's next? Well, we're working through a list of final graphic design updates, getting our final quote from our manufacturer, organizing fulfillment logistics, signing agreements (!), and putting it all together for you! And the rulebook translations are shaping up quickly (4 of the 16 languages are done)! I'll be working on those this week as well, so more updates will be coming soon!
