Hello Backers! Great news today! I have the pre-production copy of the game. This is used to approve the print quality and materials before we continue on with manufacturing. These are not the final version - the card finish in not complete and the miniatures are not color and washed yet, but everything is pretty close now. I'll explain more in the video below. Enjoy!

Inset the Insert

Hey Backers! Well, the PPC (pre-production copy) should be shipped out to me tomorrow from PANDA, Once I get it, I'll be sure to post an update showing all the printed components! But in the meantime.....

Here's the custom insert from GameTrayz! The game board is on top to keep everything snug.  Remove that, and you can see the player boards and score pad. Take those out, then you can see in the center where the starting pipes and ideas go. There's a nice perfect spot for each robot. And the top section pulls out - with a transparent lid - for all the resources. Beneath that are spots for the cards - double-deep so you can sleeve cards and they will still fit perfectly. And yes, even the Kickstarter Exclusive components all fit nicely. The standees tuck in the top left on the bottom level. A place for everything! Beautiful!

I'm a guy who likes to bag all of the game components in a game - sorted and ready to play. It's pretty rare you get an insert that works for setting up and playing the game. But I think we have one for TRANSMISSIONS! A printed example of this will be coming along in the next few weeks I believe - looking forward to it!

So what do you think about inserts? Do you use them? So often they are cardboard just for shipping!

Miniature Prototypes!

Hello Backers!

We're moving along nicely here in manufacturing. How so? Here's the final molds for the miniatures! They are not colored yet - this is just the grey proofs.

I've very happy with the outcome! We'll see colored and washed versions in the next few weeks. The custom insert from GameTrayz is under development right now as well. Hopefully we'll see samples of that soon. And I've promised the rules translations in the new format, but have not finished that up yet. Soon as well I hope! But over all, we're staying right on schedule.

As a last point, there are about 300 backers who have not completed their survey for shipping. I am sending reminders each week, so please check your inbox and spam folders! If you are moving or changing addresses, you'll be able to change your shipping address for another month or so if you have already filled out your survey.

Hello Backers!

Thank you all again for your questions and (of course!) your backing of TRANSMISSIONS! Matt and I are very thankful indeed!

Speaking of Matt, he wanted me to pass along he's launching his next TRANSMISSIONS CALENDAR Kickstarter on SEPTEMBER 14th, 2021! So please be on the lookout for that and back it! I'll post a link when it officially is off the ground!

Also, I just pressed that button to notify everyone that their BackerKit Survey will be locking in the next 48 hours. I know several of you have asked to make sure all is ok (and I'm happy to check for you!), but also fear not! I'm here for you and we can resolve any problem you might have. We still have a long way to go before the game is ready, but this next step is important so we can move along with manufacturing proofs and checks! Hopefully, that will proceed quickly over the next several weeks. I'm very excited to get this game moving to you!

PLEDGE MANAGER CLOSING SOON!

In the weeks after this, I'll be posting more updates as I begin to receive additional information and samples. I believe I should have the first proofs of the robot miniatures in the next 2 weeks. After that, I should be seeing some models of the GameTrayz insert. So we're definitely still moving and are at this point very much on schedule.

However! There are many checks and steps to follow. So stay tuned as we continue through the manufacturing process!
